Character Redesign Circa 3/24/10 (1st Edit!)

Hey there guys! At this point in time, we'll be re-designing all the characters so that I don't have a bunch of people yelling at me.

The characters being redesigned, are the four main characters : Anemone and Dominic, and Eureka and Renton.

These names are preliminary and will CHANGE according to what we would want their names to be.

I reserve exclusive rights over Anemone and Dominic. And to make everything easy, all characters are aged sixteen.

All characters will be in ONE post, and so this first post will be edited the most, please put your comments here!

Let's begin with the one character I have developed the most, Anemone!

EDIT: I have finished Renold (the new Renton), Dominic, and Eurie (The new Eureka).

Character "Anemone"
Age 16

Quotation describing character:
“I cannot think up of a single reason as to why the world is the way it is. I live only to wonder whether or not I should ever continue on to the next day, and usually I feel that it is necessary for me to keep on doing what I am supposed to do in order to maintain the balance throughout this world”

Backstory:
Born into a privileged family, Anemone's family has no problem with money but would rather hide the fact that she is extremely wealthy to others. She lives in an average family with a sister and brother, both of which she does not speak of if rarely at all.

She is very intelligent being the top of her class! However, she prefers not to gloat and instead undermines herself by constantly delving into books and novels (with her secret love of manga and anime). Interests include novels and countless fan fiction based on it. She participates in internet discussions over fan fiction.

When she was younger, she was a very outspoken girl who was very active. However, one day a boy said he liked her in middle school. It was a lie, and she was hurt. Ever since then she has become laconic, quiet, and suspicious of males who talk to her. She dislikes her country.

Character/Personality:
She has no love interest in the series. However, to her, she would consider a good date to have a nice dinner.

She is herself very conservative, a huge contrast to her wealthy family. She prefers to wear a pair of jeans or capri pants with maybe a t-shirt and a sweater/jacket. She has never worn a skirt intentionally. Anemone is described by guys (in middle school) as looking very nice when she DID wear a dress once. She loves reading and can be found with a book in her hands sometimes.

She does wear big rimmed glasses and her eyes are a light brown, almost hazel-like. (This can be changed to blue eyes) Anemone's hair is dark brown with long (in a way) hair that is in between her shoulders and her waist. Occasionally wears a pony tail. Her physique is not exactly thin, not exactly slender, but slightly under what people may consider "normal". Her jacket/sweater when she is wearing it, usually covers her breasts, that she actually has, but they are classified as A-B size. Otherwise, with her jacket/sweater on, she appears to be completely flat.

She is a QUIET, LACONIC person. She still has a part of her humor within her. She is a person with a MYSTERIOUS past. However, she is not what society calls "emo". In a matter of fact, she is very cheery person whenever her interests are mentioned or are being discussed about. She is considered very cute for a medium-tall girl at a height of 5 foot 4.

Backstory:
Born into a middle class family, Dominic spends most of his time reading manga and watching anime. He lives in a rather small family with a twin sister who doesn’t appreciate the fact that he looks at things in a logical, nearly optimistic way.

Very intelligent, but lacking actual persuasion, he does his work half heartedly and gets passed his classes with excellent grades. However, he lacks the self-confidence one would usually get with such high grades. His interests include games, anime, and the mysteries of the world around him.

When he was younger, he was not much of a controlled person. He viewed the world in a pessimistic way. There was no hope for the world, according to him. He’d sometimes spend days looking into the sky asking “Why...? Why is the world the way it is…” However… in the middle of his youth, he met a young girl that changed his life forever…

Character/Personality:
His love interest in the series is Anemone, he has no clue why he is intrigued by her but something about her just made him forget everything else in the world… Thankfully, on dates he would rather enjoy a good conversation.

He is described as conservative, trying to spend not a lot of money so that he can save it up for more leisurely spending of his money or for things he is interested in. He usually wears a t-shirt with jeans or on some days, a collared short-sleeved shirt (but only because it’s warm). On colder days, he is usually seen with his jacket. He hates formal wear; it just doesn’t fit his style. Renton enjoys reading, but can usually be found with a folder with all of his school work.

He has sharp piercing eyes with a dark brown iris (can be changed to green). Renton’s hair is … (sigh) like those Japanese or Korean peoples… most akin to Itsuki Koizumi’s hair style. He has a toned body, not skinny, but not muscular. He’s not one to fight anyways.

He is someone who is SOFT-SPOKEN, always CURIOUS of the world around him. With a good sense of humor he can find the good things in life when nothing but bad happens. He is very optimistic of the future, something that only came with a terrible event that happened to him in his past. He is considered above average looking for a kind of tall guy at a height of 5 foot 9.

Character “Renold” (Renton)
Age 16

Quotation describing character:
“Alas, a woman’s mind is like the autumn wind; constantly changing. Honestly, that annoys me sometimes, for I do believe that if they could stay on one topic at the same time, their thoughts and ideas could be coherent sometimes. Or perhaps I am talking to some unsophisticated small portion of the female population…”

Backstory:
Born into an upper class family, Renton loves to show it. He is very obsessed with anime to the point of buying outfits for the sole purpose of “personal value”. Lives with a younger sister that he loves to dress up in these outfits and makes her pose for pictures.

Intelligence is equivalent to Dominic’s in all aspects except Renold is better at being able to not study and pass the test, or how he calls it “intelligent bullshitery”. Interests include an obsessive love of anime, cosplaying, and long drawn out philosophical debates on many issues of society.

When he was younger, he thought he wasn’t “good enough” for anything. He tried to make up for it with academics, but even then he did not think he was good enough. Ever since then, he has tried to “get out there” to “go where no one has gone before”. He met a girl once… some people said that they were a nice couple. He dumped her because she liked ordinary things.

Character/Personality:
He really has no clue on who he actually likes (although we might say it could be anyone) During any dates, he would rather have an interesting date (like maybe an adventure through a junkyard). He greatly dislikes public outings (group wise).

If and when it is possible, he will dress as if he were Victorian Era aristocracy. He is terrible at women though, but his manners represent that of an elaborate and educated gentlemen (if he wasn’t such a pompous jerk) Speaks eloquently and contradictory, confusing people most of the time. He keeps his hand mini-notebook on him most of the time to refer to or make notes in.

He has eyes reminiscent of that of someone who lies, who deceives, who cries out for help. His brown (grey) eyes show experience… or at least he tries to make himself seem experienced in life. His hair is shaped equivalent to Dominic’s hair, except shorter and messier. He’s skinny with very feminine features (eyes, nose, lips, even the hips!) But… he has great posture.

As the anti-hero of the story, he is a very CALM yet POMPOUS person at the same time. With CHIVALRY and HONOR he sticks to promises and agreements. He is considered average looking for a medium height male of 5 foot 6. He always see things in his point of view (which isn’t very nice to others). He CARES about people, only when he is terrified of what they can do to him, or when he actually truly DOES care about them.

Quotation describing character:
“Why am I always left out of the fun things? I mean, people like me and all… but they never call me for help or anything like that… Why can’t I have a guy that wants my company?”

Backstory:
Born into a middle class family, Eurie has no sisters and no brothers. As an only child, she was loved by her parents, and was never reprimanded. Unfortunately, this gave her serious problems in high school as she could get hurt very easily by a few small remarks.

She’s above average intelligence and gets normally B+ grades and moves on. Studies hard, and struggles in the best classes. She usually is in the top 30 in her class possibly due to the fact that she pushes herself for the grade and is not naturally intelligent. She wastes too much time on the internet.

When she was younger, she was pushed down to the ground by many of the girls in the school. Her friends are usually the outcasted ones, and she herself is considered one of the social abnorms in her school. But this is only due to her uncanny obsession with everything regarding technology and the internet. Although there are otaku, most of them are very cute. Eurie is almost described as unemotional!

Character/Personality:
She’s conflicted over who she likes, a problem that stems from the fact that she doesn’t want to get hurt. Like an average teenager, she would like to watch a movie during a date. Or go to a museum. About Death. (Kidding, any museum is fine)

Eurie wears… unique… clothing… It is more otaku oriented than it is oriented towards being a normal teenager. Although, she does NOT cosplay at all even if the clothing is cute. She isn’t flashy and she doesn’t wear anything that flatters her or makes her look good or nice. She tries to fit into the crowd, but usually fails because of lack of knowledge of any fashionable styles. She usually holds a clenched fist.

Her eyes remind you of staring into the skies… (Blue eyes) or… uhh… a field of trees (Green eyes) She has short hair, up to the tip of her shoulders constantly trimmed… okay frankly the hair style isn’t even of the decade. She usually wears jeans and a custom made t-shirt. She DOES however, have breasts, B-sized cups.

She can be very LOUD when trying to convey what she wants to say. At times, you could say she tries to be NICE to everyone but at the same time can be very MEAN to others. This is, of course, because of her past in relation to her… choice of friends. But she is a very open person, open to suggestions and other things (in an attempt to be friendlier to others). Although it is arguable, this young girl is just the kind of person you would not want to date. Ever. She is average looking for a short girl at the height of 5 foot 2.
